The most noticeable design change is that the stake pockets are entirely installable from the top of the stake pocket in the truck box. This makes for a faster install without the need to sacrifice any of the truck rack’s load rating.
Why Redesign the Stake Pocket Inserts?
Installation complexity is a common complaint regarding the old design. This was for a variety of reasons, including the need to drill, climb in and out of the truck bed, etc. The new design addresses these problems and creates a simple, strong, no-drill solution for easy installation.
Who Benefits from the Redesign?
Simply put–everyone! Busy upfitters will save time and reduce risk of injury thanks to no longer needing to be in and out of the truck bed for installations. This is a benefit that end users performing their own installs will also see. Saving time and preventing injury are big bonuses!
Why is This Design Better?
The redesign was done with efficiency, safety, and consolidation of parts in mind. An upfitter will be able to complete more work thanks to simpler installation. Additionally, eliminating the need to climb into the back of the truck to install rail caps and cab guards reduces opportunities for injury. Finally, consolidation of parts means it’s easier to ship – the customer receives their product much more quickly!
Any Additional Benefits?
When the upfit is done through an upfitter, the end user will notice no difference between our traditional stake pocket inserts and our new stake pocket insert clips. Even if the end user does their own install, the only difference they’ll see is in the ease of installation.
